Trip 4 Day 17 Chittorgarh

Finally I left for Chittorgarh which I was postponing from past two days. The railway station is 4km from Ashok road. I booked the rental bike , and to my surprise the biker received me 2 days ago from Gulaab baag. And he admitted by his own. I always prefer digital payment in order I carry as less paper money I can. The train was on platform no 3. Total vacant in day time to Chittaurgarh. One can complete his sleep. I took some biscuits, one samosa and a tea. It is my morning breakfast. A middle aged lady stepped up from next station, sat and a lot of chit chat with her. 12:30 was the time when I reached Chittaurgarh railway station. I am hungry now. It would be better if I submit my rucksack bag and leave for the Fort. Searching for cloackroom within railway station and I found. Surprisingly the ticket counter was the cloackroom more interestingly the ticket collector is operating cloackroom. On the window he was issuing tickets and on the other side he was instructing us to to ...

Trip 4 Day 16 Udaipur

A night before I was planning to leave for Chittorgarh by the early morning train. But denied the plan before sleeping and decided to stay one more day in Udaipur. When Digvijay woke up he told I missed my alarm. I already dismissed it before bed. All of a sudden he gets a call from his else brother who shown sign of reaching at the room soon. He conveyed this message to us and requested to all 3 of us to leave before 8 am.  Nobody was prepared for this. Tiago and Katrina left before me. I left for Gulaab Baag and thought to write blogs till date from where I left of Rajasthan trip. I walked through the streets reached Gulab Baag. It made me unproductive, I'd breakfast at the same shop. I entered Gulaab Baag and was looking for some content on Instagram. By 11 am I got a call from Digvijay to come back to the room. I asked him where I can have delicious aloo paratha. It is my lunch. Aloo paratha packs you for the rest of the day. I booked a rental bike and reached Ashok road. ...

Trip 4 Day 15 Kumbhalgarh

I woke up at 4:30 today. Earliest in past 6 months. I woke up the Tiago and Katrina. By 5 we left the place to the bus stand. It took half an hour to reach the bus stop. A tempo was tried to mislead us by telling to board into the bus from Chetak Circle(from where we came). The bus stand was inward and in dark it was not visible. When it is all board we stepped up and luckily got the seat. It was Digvijay idea to board into the first bus so as to give more time to Kumbhalgarh. These two people slept while I couldn't. The bus dropped us 7km before Kumbhalgarh at 7:30 am. There will be a different bus to Kumbhalgarh. While I wanted to have breakfast it is mandatory for me, but they're not interested. Though we all did. Later we board to a bus to Kumbhalgarh and then a kilometre walk to the fort. The atmosphere was chilled. These people were absurd. While I kept trying to talk to them but newton's third law failed. No reaction to talks. I had a sense of how the day will g...

Trip 4 Day 14 Udaipur

I reached Udaipur by 5 am stepped down from the bus at Chetak Chowk. Till last night I'd no confirm stay in Udaipur. Suddenly just before boarding to the bus, I got a call from a travelling community guy named Digvijay. He informed me to reach his place. If there would be no stay in Udaipur I'd have chosen hostel for a day only and leaving to another destination. I tried for hitchhiking early morning, but traffic was not that much and whosoever was passing through was not in the mood to stop. So I started walking to his place. The street lights were not switched on. I reached a point where I've to turn on the mobile torch to see the where the road heading towards. Finally, I reached his room, I called him and he came out to pick, the time is 5:30 by now. I was tired while on the journey. There is a total of three people in the big room now including his elder brother. I slept at the corner of the room.  Digvijay has already informed me about his departure from home 🏡 ...

Trip 4 Day 13 Jodhpur

I've to leave for Udaipur today. Mahesh Ji had to leave early today but changes in the plan so he will leave at 10 am. I prefer to train to travel from one city to another. There is no direct train between Jodhpur and Udaipur due to mountains. A community guy wanted to meet me before I leave for Udaipur. Goodbye from Mahesh and left to meet Adit. I booked a rental bike and reached Jalori gate, the rider was a bit late to come to receive me. From Jalori gate Adit picked me and drove me up to the hills to gate ho 2 of the Fort. From here I can see the blue city. Jodhpur is actually known for blue houses. But over the years people have painted other than blue. Again on government request, people are starting to paint it Blue. So I can see some blue houses. This boy is just 22 in numbers and he made me climb to the top of the hill with the rucksack bag. I was getting fumed over him for this activity. A person should think what a traveller goes through. This is the difference when ...

Trip 4 Day 12 Jodhpur

As usual, the train arrived half an hour early as per scheduled time. I stepped out of the railway station. I have to reach CAZRI a research centre where I'll meet my community friend. The road was straight to his home. Boarded into the bus and reached the circle. Barely 15 minutes of walk. I entered through the main gate and walked a half kilometre. Mahesh Ji came to receive me coz I was unable to locate his home from Google maps. Mahesh is an agriculture scientist. He has been to Jaisalmer and has a lot of information about Jaisalmer. I wish we could have met a few days back so that I could have got a good idea of Jaisalmer and could plan very well. Over tea, we discussed each other life, but the time is limited, Mahesh has to leave to work before 10 am. So did I. I am specifically here for Mehrangarh Fort. I have seen this only in pictures. I'm crazy about this Fort.  Mahesh Ji dropped me at the exit point, from there I started hitchhiking. I was being dropped at the ci...

Trip 4 Day 11 SAM dunes

I don't remember when did I wake up today, might be early. It is my checkout day from the hotel. By the night I've to leave for Jodhpur. Again I've no plans for Jaisalmer today. So I thought to visit the places within the city. Vacating room and walking down from the hotel I reached Gadisar lake which rarely a kilometre distance from my hotel. Gadisar is a beautiful lake situated on the outskirts of the city. Quick photos and was leaving for Patwon ki Haveli again walking distance. But I encountered with some ladies who were on streets singing and dancing all around for money collection on the festive occasion of Holi. They saw and hampering my way. Not allowing me to go further. I told them I'm a student and gave little amount in exchange of bigger currency. They returned back the rest. I took pictures with them but not the video they were resisting for this. Vloggers to maintain a proper distance. I barely have tea after I got sick before this trip and it was...

Trip 4 Day 10 Jaisalmer

Trains in Rajasthan runs vacant due to which to instant travel is very convenient. You can plan anytime to anywhere?  One can travel in general and get the seat for sleeping. This is what happens to me. No need to book any ticket just book a general ticket from UTS app and work done. The train reached an hour before the scheduled time. I was the last fellow to step down from my compartment, laziness at its peak. Consuming my internet to install updates of the phone I came out of the station. Not so far, my hotel was just 2.4 km away from the station I covered by walking. I felt myself lucky walking down to hotel when I saw Jaisalmer Fort flooded in green lights all around. Spectacular view from streets. I took plenty of pictures and uploaded one on Instagram. As I saw my grandmother in childhood, waking up early going for the temple to worship, same I saw a chore group heading towards the temple.  I reached the hotel at 7 am, got my room and slept for two hours. Jaisa...

Trip 4 Day 9 Gajner

In my today's plan by the end of the day, I've to leave for Jaisalmer. Kuldeep asked me and Alex plans amid the day. According to which he planned to visit Gajner. A village which is famous for the huge pond. Mahi, Kuldeep, Alex were good enough in teaching me UNO. I am a good player and can teach this playing card to my native friends as well. I remember yesterday night I'd green spicy chutney which was very spicy but I was enjoying. To lessen the effect is plenty amount of water. Alex was enjoying this chatnee more than me. We all had breakfast and now waiting for Usha bhabhi to return back from work to go along with four of us. After 12 we all walked to the road to Gajner by Bus. In quick minutes we're in Bus. From Gajner road it was about 2-3 km to pond. In a mid way, we noticed a film set. Which later confirmed to be of Sonakshi Sinha's. We reached nearby the pond. It is a very calm and quiet place. Soon few children from the nearby villa...

Trip 4 Day 8 Bikaner

I woke on time today to visit Junagadh Fort which opens sharp at 10 am. Let me remind you I don't have a single penny yet in my pocket. After breakfast, I quickly got the road to Bikaner and asked for the lift. This is rare that you get hitchhike directly to the point where you want to go. It was like a free ride service by unknown. I sat and within half an hour, I reached Bikaner Fort. I entered knowing I've no money thought I could pay by the online transaction but it was not allowed. Neither no one seems interesting enough to offer a traveller.  I walked a kilometre to withdraw cash. I came back took the ticket and entered the Fort, the time was fifteen past ten. It was a perfect start.  The palace inside the Fort was worth watching. 40% of the part of the Fort is still private and the rest is for the public. I went saw and realised that not a single pic I took of me so I again started roaming around from the initial point. To this, a guide was keeping an eye on me, mu...

Trip 4 Day 7 Nal

I reached before the arrival time that is at 9. Nowadays Indian Railways trains arrive very early at stations which never happened before and then they wait. My host was not decided yet coz I was bit confused as one was on the outskirts in a remote area while other was just next to Junagadh Fort. But personally, I want to spend some time in the village. As to attain peace, calmness. And the other host was like giving free stay and discounts on other stuff. I was on a trip to show people how can I travel in lesser. So, as usual, I started asking for hitchhiking. I decided to go Nal, to be true Today I was not having a single penny in my pocket neither I was interested to withdraw from any ATM. And from station to Nal at least I successfully stopped 5 bikes and reached. Here I was lost while finding the home of my community fried and then he came out on rescue to search me out with his daughter and found me.  I thought I can visit the fort and other things but plan changed a...

Trip 4 Day 6 Pushkar

I am in Jaipur Today. I knew I've to move to Pushkar and Ajmer. Despite all this, it all went in late sleep. But still, I woke up early at 7 in the morning. Hariom reached a few hours before. Without disturbing his sleep I freshened up and got ready in quick minutes. Woke him up, he was surprised how quickly I dressed up and also how sooner I'm leaving his apartment. I think he wanted me to stay more but I'd like to go further. The start was not good though but I got a good kick a few days ago meeting community friends again boosted my confidence which helped. Hired a motorbike and reached the station to board at 10:40 train to Ajmer. While the train took less time to reach Ajmer. Submitted my bag in the cloakroom and had breakfast at platform no 2 which I found cleaner than the one outside of the railway station. It is important that you should not get into the trap of auto wallas in India anywhere. This is what happened here, an autowala just chased me a long way, bu...

Trip 4 Day 5 Jaipur

After spending a vacation at home waking up late in the morning is becoming a habit. Which I need to change to give more time to travelling.  A bed in the morning and that was enough. My community friend has a plan for me. He told me not to miss Narahgarh Fort which I also wished to go but due to less time, I'd remove it from my checklist. His younger brother took me to Nahargarh Fort. The palace inside the Fort was worth watching which has great paintings by old generation painters as well as new generation painters in their own style. Craftwork can be seen here widely. Decoration at the fort was worthy except those stones which were lying down on verandah. Kali Burji is a spot from Where one can see Jaipur city from any direction. This Fort seems to be renovated many times which gives a message that how aware is Rajasthan government for their ruins places which can help them bring more Tourism. At the entrance gate of Fort, a huge Bawli was constructed in the early days ...

Trip 4 Day 4 Jaipur

Learning from the previous day I'm not going to repeat the same. Today I planned to visit at least two forts here one is Amer and another is Jaigarh. Keeping this in mind I left home at sharp 11 in the morning. Walking down the road I got a Bus from Karni Palace to Ajmeri gate on time. On Ajmeri Gate I interchanged a private bus whose fair is equal to govt AC Bus(I don't know why). From there it took me almost an hour to reach Amer fort.  I was delighted to see that fort. It was a mesmerizing view. Reached at 1 pm to the fort, I headed towards Amber Palace where Sheesh Mahal lies. After visiting Amer fort I rested for few minutes and decided to go at the top of the fort(which actually was another fort). Following the path and people, I reached Jaigarh Fort where the entrance fee was ₹79 for Indian adult. I sat down for a while and for once I thought whether should I continue or go back. But I chose to go inside and see the entire structure of the fort. And my decision was ...

Trip 4 Day 3 Jaipur

I'd plan today to go Amer fort today and other forts as well but my dear friend didn't let me go. He was on-off today. When the day begins it went as a waste for me. But as the time spent my dear friend shared his important life phases and experience. Through which I felt lucky to have everything in my life. And also didn't feel regret for not going out today. Happy to have such a friend. Great human.

Trip 4 Day 2 Jaipur

After enough of rest and sleep, I woke up late in the morning. My friend after doing a night shift came back and slept. I slowly freshened up and woke him up to eat together. By the half past 11, I left home for Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Narahgjar Fort. Boarded a bus from Karni Palace to New Gate and after few meters walk, I saw what I used to see in books, Hawa Mahal. It was mesmerizing. Not only from outside. Soon I found a way through the gully to inside the Mahal. I reached the lawn now and saw a queue here for tickets. However, the student ticket fair was very low. To this, I started searching my college id but it was only valid up to 2016. I kept it back in my wallet and paid the normal adult price for Indian ticket. After ticket checking, I got inside and saw a fountain which was adding beauty to Mahal. I reached directly to the first floor and found a corner to relax for some time. Then I started and roamed, clicked some pictures of Hawa Mahal. Security was very tight ...

Trip 4 Day 1 Jaipur

Two days before the arrival I met with an accident which stunned my right-hand shoulder. The enormous pain continued for once I thought to cancel the reservation to Jaipur once again. But the season is very flexible to visit Rajasthan which didn't allow me to proceed cancellation of the ticket to Jaipur. On the day of departure, I also had to attend a marriage at Kanpur club which was on the list. But was thinking not to attend this marriage so that I'll get some time to pack my already packed bag.  A month before I packed my bag when I skipped train from Kanpur Central after waiting for almost half an hour in January's cold weather which left me in frustration and I went back to home. I have train today, just reached home after attending marriage from the club. Almost got late after packing my bag and getting dressed still left some accessories at home. I will better say forgot. Left home at 12:45 and started running towards the main road to hire an auto to the ra...
