Trip 4 Day 12 Jodhpur

As usual, the train arrived half an hour early as per scheduled time. I stepped out of the railway station.

I have to reach CAZRI a research centre where I'll meet my community friend. The road was straight to his home.

Boarded into the bus and reached the circle. Barely 15 minutes of walk. I entered through the main gate and walked a half kilometre.

Mahesh Ji came to receive me coz I was unable to locate his home from Google maps. Mahesh is an agriculture scientist.

He has been to Jaisalmer and has a lot of information about Jaisalmer. I wish we could have met a few days back so that I could have got a good idea of Jaisalmer and could plan very well.

Over tea, we discussed each other life, but the time is limited, Mahesh has to leave to work before 10 am. So did I.

I am specifically here for Mehrangarh Fort. I have seen this only in pictures. I'm crazy about this Fort.

Mahesh Ji dropped me at the exit point, from there I started hitchhiking. I was being dropped at the circle.

The rider, when he came to know I'm from computer science he put questions over online transaction security.

To this I replied, but due to insufficient time couldn't explain him much. A walk to another circle, after 10 minutes I got second hitchhike.

In Jodhpur helmet for the second passenger is mandatory. That's why one of the riders indicated me about the helmet.

From this circle, I boarded I to Bus to Sardarpura. May be the conductor forgot to take fare from me. So did I.

Later I thought he gave me lift till this point. This is the second incident after Goa.

I've my breakfast here. According to the map, it is two kilometres of a walk to the Fort.

Within half an hour I reached the place from where I can see the huge fort, basically stairs. Looking up in the sky as if this fort seems like a way to heaven.

It's a huge, very huge. As if I'm watching an animated movie. Not only from outside when I reached inside the Fort the complex is very huge.

I was imagining if any of foe entered by mistake he'd lost finding the main entrance to palace. As per history, no King could win this Fort ever.

The Fort is still under maintenance by King of Jodhpur who's residence is Umaid Bhavan. This red colour fort was built by Rao Jodha.

The palace is very beautiful. A number of tea, coffee, lassi stall can be seen at some corners.

Museums have swords, types of guns displayed here for the crowd. Within 2-3 hours I roamed around and headed towards Chamunda Devi temple which is inside the Fort.

While going to temple I can see 10-12 cannons laid down at fort walls. One can imagine how the kings ruled 300 years ago.

The palace is on the 5th floor if I say in today's format. One can easily see the city from this floor.

I came down and took some brilliant pictures from all angles. I actually love adventures so went to that part of the fort where barely anyone was going.

I came out took pictures from the parking lot. What would be my next place to see. No idea, walked a bit and sat next to the road near bike stand.

I went to furthermore and can see a big pond. There is a house constructed seems like official quarters.

I went inside the campus and took some pictures. I could almost Lose my cellphone in the pond if id has not held the phone tightly.

Right in front there was a small botanical garden which has various species of plants with the scientific name.

Now I don't know where to go. I wanted to go to Clock tower but it is too far. I wanted to climb the wall which is right in front of the fort but not recommended for me in this exhaustive condition.

Jaswant Thada is near so I headed towards Thada. Entry gate has a great grand statue of Rao Jodha. At the backside Thada which consist of coffins of King generation buried there.

When I got into they asked for the ticket which I refused to see the cemetery. Moved a little forward and I saw a garden.

So I headed towards this garden and accidentally went inside Jaswant Thada. This is the backside of Thada which is accidentally open I think for me.

I'd have definitely not paid for any cemetery to be true. It is beautiful.

Took some pictures and spent some time here before sunset I tried to move back to CAZRI rd by the time Mahesh has also reached home.

Eating outside home is always a problem for me in terms of hygiene and I avoid oily food. Another community friend wanted to meet so he called me to Ratanada.

I exit and got hitchhike till downside of the mountains not near to Umaid Bhawan. I sat on the bench where he dropped me had two glass of sugarcane juice and took a bus to CAZRI.

The bus driver almost met with an accident which resulted in knee injury to me. The rods of the seat hit to my calf bone and knee with great impulse.

I got down to CAZRI and walked back home. When I reached I can hear Mahesh teaching someone so I removed my shoes and went to the terrace without distracting them.

Almost relaxing for half an hour I informed Mahesh about my arrival. There are plenty of peacocks here.

We had green tea in the evening. Here Pankaj wanted to meet and take me to jodhpur wedding. Well nobody could deny his offer.

But at this time it seems not possible for me to travel more as I am already running since 24 hours and wanted to do some relax.

On another note, I also wanted to spend some time with Mahesh at who's place I'm staying tonight. So I promised Pankaj that when I'll come next time I'll meet.

I think Mahesh Ji has plans for me. Mahesh asked me to ride. I always enjoy driving. He drove me to stepwell and clocktower.

Which would I've missed if he had not taken me to here? Stepwell was worth visiting and it was at least 7-8 storey well.

While returning back we stuck near clocktower due to marriage rituals performed by a family. By the time all the shops got closed.

And the light outside the fort. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture some clicks from outside. We returned back home.

While I'm zero in cooking. So he prepared delicious rice. Conversation went over till 12 and now I'm feeling very tired.

Though Mahesh wanted to talk more there was no energy left in me and when did I sleep I have no idea.
