Trip 4 Day 8 Bikaner

I woke on time today to visit Junagadh Fort which opens sharp at 10 am. Let me remind you I don't have a single penny yet in my pocket.

After breakfast, I quickly got the road to Bikaner and asked for the lift. This is rare that you get hitchhike directly to the point where you want to go.

It was like a free ride service by unknown. I sat and within half an hour, I reached Bikaner Fort. I entered knowing I've no money thought I could pay by the online transaction but it was not allowed.

Neither no one seems interesting enough to offer a traveller.  I walked a kilometre to withdraw cash.

I came back took the ticket and entered the Fort, the time was fifteen past ten. It was a perfect start.

The palace inside the Fort was worth watching. 40% of the part of the Fort is still private and the rest is for the public.

I went saw and realised that not a single pic I took of me so I again started roaming around from the initial point.

To this, a guide was keeping an eye on me, murmured I ignored and kept doing what I was.

At last, when I exit from the door and turned back to take a picture of exit I was guide personally came to see me off to look whether I don't come back again. That was insane.

I exit from the Fort and was looking for a photo to capture from outside but unfortunately, there were many vehicles parked so declined.

Now to go forward to mouse temple Deshnok which is very popular. First time I heard it from my Taiwan friend so was curious to see this.

I tried hitchhiking again and got dropped in front of food resort. It was lunchtime for me as well. I left the fort at 1 pm.

Samosa in Rajasthan is too costly. This much that what one samosa cost in a good shop in Rajasthan you can have two in any part of India. Well, I'd two big samosas and it worked as lunch for me.

I tried Hitchhiking again and got dropped till Ambassador. It was too hot and hitchhiking in Rajasthan is a bit different what it was in Gujrat so it was better for me to board into the bus and get down at Deshnok.

In ₹25 fares, I reached Deshnok. Karni Mata Temple better known as Mouse Temple is walkable from Bus station.

I unlaced my shoes in a shop but he offered me to take prasad in return. I showed him India batch on my chest and told I'm a student and he agreed to keep.

Literally a number of mice inside. It is said that there are more than 20,000 mouse here which are children of Karni Mata.

This temple is believed to be more than 600 years old. Huge in numbers jumping, roaming around but won't harm any human.

Some ill some dead but still in the temple. Even the prasad utensil has at least one mouse in it, with the priest.

They are everywhere. There should be a proper lab for them to be treated.

In the history of Deshnok plague has never occurred. While once in Europe 1/3 of population was whitewashed because of plague.

Right in front of the temple, there is a museum of Karni Mata which has no fee.

Within an hour I left for Bikaner from Bus but this time without a ticket from the Bus conductor. When I asked why so he claimed this the rule of a private bus.

As I reached Bikaner I again started hitchhiking from Gangasagar. It took me 3 bikes and at last an Airforce official who dropped me at the destination.

Air Force station is very near to the village so many employees keep on and off from duties from time to time.

I reached home and Kuldeep told me Alex is about to come. I was in contact with Alex since morning and also sent him the location to change bus from Gangasagar to Nal.

We both got to the main road to pick him up. Alex reached soon(another community friend). Alex was tired a lot.

I and Alex went to the market to buy some of my fav veggies. Usha bhabhi made delicious food.

Kuldeep has a good routine of eating earlier which I prefer. I was about to leave Jaisalmer today but thought to stay a more day so that I can spend some more time with these nice people.

At noon Kuldeep was even ready to hand over my bag at Bikaner but I denied. Why disturb someone for our comfort.
